Dr. Mazin Shaikhoun is a triple board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine who brings a global perspective to our team. His medical training and experience span several countries, enabling him to care for diverse patient populations with empathy and cultural fluency.

Dr. Shaikhoun earned his medical degree from Al-Neelain University School of Medicine in Khartoum, Sudan. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at Albany Medical College in New York. During his fellowship, he received the “Fellow Teacher of the Year” award (2024–2025), a distinction presented by Albany Medical College.

A compassionate clinician, Dr. Shaikhoun emphasizes collaborative patient care. He specializes in pulmonary conditions, including acute and chronic lung diseases, and is skilled in advanced diagnostic procedures such as bronchoscopy, robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS).
