Endoscopic Bronchial Ultrasound

The Endoscopic Bronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) is a new minimally invasive, highly effective technique used to diagnose and stage lung cancer, infections, and other diseases causing enlarged lymph nodes in the chest.

The EBUS technique allows the physician direct visualization of nodes or masses in the lungs for biopsy or tissue sampling and reduces the need for a more invasive surgical procedure. The procedure can be done as inpatient or outpatient.

Dr. Rami Arfoosh and Dr. Kimtuyen Nguyen currently perform the EBUS procedure at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton.
