Pulmonary Hypertension

Pulmonary arterial hypertension is a disease that causes the arteries in the lungs to have increased pressure which causes shortness of breath and low oxygen in the blood. This overtime can lead to right-sided heart failure. This rare disease, when left untreated, will have devastating consequences, include premature death. To manage pulmonary arterial hypertension requires expert knowledge of the disease process and the evolving advanced therapies that are available.

Dr. Rachel Nisbet with Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists of Northeast Georgia takes pride in spending years studying the newest Pulmonary Hypertension therapies and medications as part of many national and international clinical trials. She has adopted this experience to best serve our patients and their quality of life.
