About Dr. Maaz Sheikh

Dr. Maaz Sheikh is a metro-Atlanta native. He was raised in Duluth, GA before moving to Macon, GA where he attended Mercer University to complete his undergraduate studies. He then returned to Atlanta while attending Morehouse School of Medicine. After that he moved to New York and completed his internal medicine residency at Stony Brook Hospital. After graduating from residency he worked as a hospitalist for both the NYU and Mount Sinai health systems in New York City. He then completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Penn State Health in Hershey, PA. Now he is returning to Gwinnett County to provide the best possible care to the community he grew up in.

Dr. Sheikh has the following American Board Certifications:

• ABIM – Internal Medicine Board Certified
• ABIM – Pulmonary Medicine Board Certified
• ABIM – Critical Care Medicine Board Eligible
